Weekly Torah Gatherings – Sun 9/11

Leil Selichot 2022 /
WHAT!?
‘Praying’ in preparation for the High Holidays at Midnight?

What is going on here? The13 Attributes perhaps?
Seems like a ‘massive’ undertaking . . . to say the least.

Psalm 119: 61
The bands of the wicked have enclosed me; but I have not forgotten Thy law.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto Thee because of Thy righteous ordinances.

Leil Selichot for Hebrew Year 5782 occurs after nightfall (midnight) on Saturday, 17 September 2022.

In the Ashkenazic tradition, it begins on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah.
